They're closing out a number of different Mavic rim styles, including at least one ceramic model. $5.90 each. Get'm if you need (or want) them.

What's wrong with 28 or 36 holes?

Awesome, thanks for the info. I ordered an M230 to replace the rim on my backup rear wheel (36H) that I thrashed in a v-tree while my good wheel was in the shop.

I picked up a pair of the 121's (28h). They got to be better than the crap I'm rolling on now. Guess it'll be a good time to learn to build a wheel. Can't go wrong with learning on a $6 rim right? ;) Now just got to find a deal some hubs.

My first post here!

New to MTB, so please bear with me. I cannot find ANY specs on any of those rims.

Anyone know if the Mavic M121 supports WTB Velociraptors 2.1 or do the tires need to be >2.3 to use this rim? Also I have discs, can I use non-disc specific rims?

Nothing, but all my mtn hubs are 32H.

It should be okay with a 2.1 tire, but it is designed for wider tread than that. The performance of your tire may suffer a little.
