Yea, that's right, I have tire inflation issues  (Maybe someday I'll ask about brakes or derailleurs)
I have an Aireon (sp?) dual purpose floor pump. On the rear tire of my bike, the presta valve may be bent becuase it releases air at the slightest touch rather than just when you push the tip in. Because of this, I cannot inflate the tube with my floor pump, although it works with my frame pump. On the front, I replaced the tube with the thorn resistent tube which has a shorter valve. And although I swear I inflated it with 2-3 times with my floor pump, I am now unable to lock on to the valve and inflate. Again with the frame pump.

A brief tour of Nashbar seems to show that the pumps they have have the dual purpose head which I am now leary of. Is there a multi-head or presta only floor pump out there?

Simply replace the dual chuck with a presta only chuck. Cut the hose where the chuck is attached. That's what I've done to my floor pumps. I use Silca presta chucks. I find most dual purpose chucks, even on quality pumps, junk...
