what is the widest tire I could fit on a road bike. currently has 700c 25. I am not worried about riding in mud. can I fit a 30 or 32. the bike is a mid 90's raleigh.

What model Raliegh is it? Is it equipped with side pull or cantilever brakes? Usually you have a little more clearance with cantis.
