I had the right of way on a junction, there were other vehicles that included a motor bike from my direction. The cager was in a complete stop to give way. I was behind the motor bike (about half a meter). Well, they could see him but not me (we just appear from nowhere). I was half-way through the junction when the vehicle jumps off, I swerved while the car brakes hard, stopping inches from me. I couldn't see the driver or his expression (the windows were tinted). After I got out of the way and stopped, the driver also appeared to stop but on realizing a cop (who saw it all), zoomed away. He scribbled down the license number but I was so shocked to even converse with him.

Cute avatar!
At least you didn't get cursed out like I did the last time I almost was left-crossed (see my latest post in "How was your commute"). Good job avoiding the accident!
yesterday I was riding with traffic along a flat stretch of road in front of a school. I was wearing helmet, reflective vest, reflectors on the bike, and I have a flash flag that sticks out in the lane about 3 feet. A buick with an old man at the wheel came so close that he brushed me on my left leg with his mirror, I guess. I looked up, held my line, and eyeballed him as he sped away - he never hit the brakes as I went off the road to check to see if anything was damaged. Hope I see him again; I'll have something for him. Zefal'll make a good club.
Get a u-lock, you probably need a u-lock.....

You should mod your flag thingie to have something sharp and scratchy at the end... :D
