back when i was a kid, riding bmx bikes, we called the do-hickey that you ran your cables through up front a rotor. but then again, i was a dumb little kid, so i may have been wrong. i'm looking to see if there's still something out there that i can run my brake cables through so when i bail out and my handle bars start spinning i don't stress everything out. when i search for 'rotors' on here i just get brakes junk. what in hells bells are they called, and can i get something like that for a specialized P.2? thanks.

And for those wanting a front brake as well, I think there are oversized and drilled out headset cap bolts so you can route the cable straight down through the steerer tube.

my friend bought his kona scrap and it had one... the headset cap with a screw that had a hole in the middle.. BUT his housing was getting worn away because it was constantley rubbing on the bolt

couldn't you run through the drilled out screw for the rear brake, if that's the only brake you've got? it would at least give you more spin than if it was left as is, wouldn't it?
