pair of old zeus track hubs currently with qr axles. can i obtain axles to make em bolt on?

Probably. But they're also probably worth a zillion dollars to some collector, if they're anything like a lot of Zeus stuff... so you might be better off selling and buying a different set of hubs, since you'd probably get more than enough for a nice high-end modern set.

Run them as QR. You won't have any problems.

apparently campy axles fit. and it's as much to do with not wanting to go back to a ny chain just to leave the bike locked up for 5 minutes. maybe i should keep the stock bianchi/alex combo for just riding around then…

Nutted wheels can get jacked almost as quickly as QR ones, look at terror in pink's story, and there was alos another recent story from NYC where someones wheels got jacked.

didn't hear either story. either way i'd prefer nutted wheels. at least the potential thief actually has to have a wrench
