I have a number of items from Park Tools. Give them a shot.
I have the Topeak Alien II multi-tool and it's great. Small, cheap, and has everything you can imagine.

crank brothers has a sweet multi-tool. Park is good as well, Pedros is good.
and get a CO2 compressed air pump- I guess it depends on what riding you do and how long- but I hate carrying around a pump when I am only going 2 hours or so. I use a genuine innovations air chuck sl- around $15 or so... make sure you have a floor pump at home though. It could get expensive if you use cartridges to maintain your bike.

Absolutely agree with cod3man.
Crank brother's 17 has a nice multitool that includes a chain tool. As for the pump, forget about it: for the same money you can get a compressed air pump that does the job faster.

co2 compressed air is a drag. I use a crank bros. pump mounted up high as possible (without sticking past the head tube), on the down tube, on the left hand side (non-drive side). It never gets in the way, dosent bounce around like co2s can, doesn't weigh as much, and I can use it more than once.
