Can you post a photo? I got a 2005 axis this year and I would be interested in seeing what the 2006 model looks like.

Great looking ride, mine will be here by this weekend. Adding kevlar tires and upgrading to 105 shifters and front derailer. Can't wait!!!!

This is just from memory but it came with an xt rear derailer and a tiagra front. The shifters were also tiagra with the brakes being cane creek sx-5. Anyway I probably could have lived with the tiagra and never really known the difference. I whined to the LBS about the axis going to tiagra and he offered to change out to 105. Who am I to argue with the that.

That's a great looking bike! Rode my 04 on Mississippi River ride about 2 weeks ago for 6 days 60 40 25 80 60 40 mile days. The lowest gear is good for very steep hills at 3.5 mph and is as easy as walking. Good luck with your new ride. John

Just got back from my first ride, Sweet.... I tried to post some pictures but I cannot seem to? Anyway Ended up with ultegra shifters, 105 front derailer and armadillos as upgrades. I was very pleased with how the bike handled, I think this could be a long love affair. One other thing, I added a bike rack as I plan to commute some with this bike, felt kind of ashamed after it was on. Guys at the bike shop were giving me loads of *%^% for doing it. Oh well..

I took a couple of ''real'' pics this afternoon. I think it will be a good bike to upgrade, the tiagra shifters and front derailer will have to go at some point as will the crappy crank/bottom bracket set up, the only thing I have changed from the get go was swap out the wellgo pedals for shimano. Also excuse me for not having a Warn on the front of my truck but the winch funds went to wards THE BIKE...
