Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - SF Ride/Meet Sunday (sept 25th)

Reposting this from the myspace sf fixy rides group for those of you who are anti social netowrking software or just havent seen it yet


ride/meet up this sunday (sept 25)
Forcast is for 77 degrees sunday!

Meet at 12pm at the start of the pan handle near the big statue
(Fell and Baker, across from the DMV).

We can hang there for about 15min to gather everyone up then ride through the pan handle to JFK Drive.

Take JFK Drive through GG park to ocean beach. Quick stop at the windmill and then back through GG park to the pan handle and down to Dolores park for a hang out session in the sun.

We will meet up in Dolores park near the corner of 18th & Dolores across from the cafe.

It will be a leisurely ride, should be at Dolores no later then 2pm. Probably more like 1:30 depending on pace.

i propose a remap of the ride...same meeting place, then ride up to the presidio, drop down through presidio, then ride up to legion of honor, down by ocean beach, then around Lake merced and back through the park and then delores park. or we could paradise loop

Haha, I probably won't even be around on Sunday, just feel like heckling. If I'm around, I'll probably join the ride and get dropped by you guys.

nice, we could do two groups. One for people who want a serious ride, and one for the cruising crew... As long as we all end up in the same place to hang (dolores).

Very bored, mildly angry, but resigned to my fate of having to commute from SF to SC every day...

I wish I could leave early, but alas, the movers are here, and it looks like my lab will be the last thing unpacked today. Hope I can leave before it gets dark out, yay!

Man, sweet crawl last night... Jon what was the route? I had no idea where we were before we hit the embarcadero. It was like a video game. Fun sprints.

i don't remember... i believe we took 16th all the way down towards the dogpatch and at some point took a left then a bunch of sweet left/right combinations before almost deadending at that giant chainlink fence then on to some perfect new ashpalt and we came back around on 3rd to the ballpark and then up to the clocktower :)

i'm excited i tried no handed skids now i just have to get them with good speed/distance.

I think im gonna have to pass today...my new Brooks Swift, after 30miles yesterday, feels like nothing else but a series of swift kicks to my ass. Ouch.

i was thinking about you guys while i was working my next to last sunday, then i move to weekends off thus i'll be able to finally ride with all youse' guys on the weekends.....

yesterdays love parade, riding down and up market street weaving between floats was some of the most fun i've had in a while, saw lots of ss/fixed bikes around, but was too wrecked for photos at that point, but have some great ones of my making riot police laugh by my taughts directed to the war/peace protestors
