Winter Cycling - $30 Winter Boots

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sierra Trading Post is selling Shimano SH-FR80 mt SPD compatable boots. Limited numbers & limited sizes. Be sure to order a size or 2 larger than normal for extra socks. These boots are not insulated except around the ankles. They are all Nubuck. Just attach cleats and you are set for a reasonable price.

I know it's early and you winter people don't want to think about it, but sierratradingpost.com has some nice looking Northwave Arctic Road Cycling Shoes for $69. Not as inexpensive as the Shimanos Jean mentioned, but they are road rather than mtb. Look or SPD.
