Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - New Forum Suggestion

I'd like to suggest a new forum specifically to discuss organized rides. Announcements, plans for getting with other forum members to enjoy rides with, etc. This can include charity rides, centuries, etc.

I think it would be worth having a separate forum is because you see all sorts of riders on organized rides. You see recumbents, tandems, roadies, recreational riders, families, roadies, commuters, even mountain bikers.

In the spirit of the forum, I think maybe even CM announcements could be made with the understanding that this particular forum is not the place for discussing the pros and cons of them.

I'd even volunteer to moderate it.

We already have that forum. It's the Ride Partners forum. We used to call it "Big Rides and Ride Partners", but for some reason, the name got changed. It might be better to change the name back and encourage people to post their organized rides (minus critical mass, which is usually in Advocacy) and posts for ride partners there.

I guess I misunderstood that forum's purpose, I thought that was more of a "let's get together and ride some" forum rather than for organized rides. Will go brouse.

Nah. I think we just need to change the name back and make the description of that forum clearer. It's all good. It's good we know where confusion may arise if members are looking at a forum and thinking it's meant for something else. :)
