Hi,
I've been shopping for a commuter, and I'd like to at least ride a Kona Dew Deluxe before buying. I'd prefer the 2005 for its tires and color (over the 2006) and I need a 60 cm frameset. I can't find one anywhere, and I'm wondering if any of you have brushed up against one at a bikeshop? I don't mind traveling.
The bike seems to offer good value in its components and good geometry, but I'd like to check fit and ride. I'm really not an aluminum fan, so other suggestions would be welcome. I'm looking for a fast commuter that works on dirt/gravel roads, and might be used for light touring. My primary ride is a Litespeed Classic, and I'd like a bike that's a bit more relaxed, gives me a more traffic-friendly posture, that gives me the option not to wear cycling shoes (although a hybrid spd/platform pedal would be nice), that has eylets for fenders and racks, but that's still pretty light and responsive. Steel would be the material of choice. Oh yeah, I'd like to keep it under $750.
Any leads/suggestions? I very much prefer to buy from a LBS rather than the Internet.
Thanks,
Paxtonm
