Touring - Photos of my North American travels in 2005

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Nice photos Machka, what a summer, however, you were so bundled up in some shots, looked pretty chilly. Thank you for sharing.

In Serbo-Croatian, "Machka" means "female cat" ... and my bicycle's name, "Machak", means "male cat".

Well in hungarian (I was born there a long while ago) Macka is the cat, and Macek is a familiar word for cat.
How many lives left? :)

An acquaintence of my father's was Hungarian and mentioned something about Macka meaning cat. I think a lot of terms in the various slavic-type languages are sort of similar. As it happens, I'm Serbian, and I love cats (I've got two). :)

And as for my lives ... well ... some days I feel like I've still got them all ... other days I feel like I'm running out!

I will say though, that I have had one very, very, very close call with death or serious injury in a cycling-vehicle related incident.
