I was just surfing Gary Fisher's site and noticed it's been updated for 2006. I noticed the Genesis hard tail called the "Rig". It's a SS and has 32 up front and 18 on the rear. I think it's a freewheel but it's possible it's fixed. It's a pretty sweet mountain bike! :)

i think i saw that thing in a shop a few weeks ago. it's aluminum with vert dropouts and an eccentric bb, if i remember correctly. i still prefer a steel frame with good ol' fashioned track ends, but that's me. at least someone's doin some thinkin over there at fisher, though.

Do you know why they used larger wheels? Just curious.

Rear facing track ends are a real pain with discs. You have to remove the caliper to get the wheel out.

And repositioning the wheel will end up putting your disc out of alignment. You'll have to adjust your caliper.

Slotted disc mounts. You just have to loosen the caliper to get the wheel out. :D
