Mountain Biking - any embarasing bike moments>.<

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
lol ok one time on my 4300 the right shifters cable broke, which sucked, so I had to take the short way home with no sidewalk. So i wait in this drve way to some place and see if there are any cars comming. Nope. lol once i get on the road this car comes from behind the hill and another car behind me on the other lane. lol omg the car kept honking at me and i almost caused an accident XD! o well lol y cant there be sidewalks on every road:)
Maybe it's a touch of "arrogant road biker" (everyone has run into at least one of them, not literally :p) in me, but I'm upset by drivers that can't share the road with an attentive cyclist. At least in my area, riding a bicycle on the sidewalk is illegal, all cyclists are instructed to follow "slow vehicle laws" as much as possible (is speeding possible in a "slow vehicle"? I've probably done that once or twice, heh).
That said, I don't know exactly how your embarrassing mishap played out :).
(Lurked for a while, first real post. Hi everyone!)

in a fund raising trail ride/race i was in, there were about 50 other cyclists and we were all still pretty close together coz it was the first km. Both my rear derailleur pulleys came out and i stacked (i was pedalling out of saddle pretty hard). Yeah, that was pretty embarassing (DAMN S.I.S. COMPONENTRY!)
PS, just for the ego thing i gotta state that i now ride x.7 not SIS.

Ya I hit a tough section in the trail, my saddle had broken and then impaled me slightly in a not so comfortable place. To top it off I was showing a girl friend of my mine the trail and how to ride.
Yep...it hurt.
And yes, please refrain from abbreviating words. This site does not approve of overuse of that type of messaging.
Thanks
