I like platfor pedals and plan to stick to them. I am looking at getting pair of CB 5050. Not only are they decent pedal, but the color combos and customization kicks ass. Would I be silly to put these on my bike, or shoudl I look into a clipless pedal with a platform?

To me, big chunky DH/BMX platforms look silly on road bikes. (Or is your ss an MTB?) If you want to ride fast on-road, definitely get toe clips or clipless.
If it's a lazy cruiser, grocery getter or you ride nice and slow anyway, go for it.
