Here's something we don't talk much about but a recent episode left me with some questions. Bear with me please as this gets into, well, borderline-disgusting areas.
Belching. Not your typical too-much-air kind of belch. I mean the kind of belch where you eat something and spend the next 24-36 hours belching and tasting it. Other meals will come and go and you still keep belching and tasting that one item. What in the name of the earth causes this to happen? What can you do about it, if anything?
Apologies to you if you think I'm being rude but I'm actually curious about this.

I don't know the scientific explanation but basically you are eating too much too fast and having problems digesting it and the belching seems to help cope with the indigestion/aid in digestion. Solution would be to eat smaller balanced meals more slowly.Raw fruits and vegitables are great sources of digestive enzymes which are necessary for proper digestion.By the way sometimes when riding my bike I will stop at an all you can eat pizza/pasta buffet ($3.99 )and definately get my moneys worth but will definately do some belching to help get more food down.

Rarely, I get an acidy feeling in the back of my throat. I think it has to do more with a "backup" of the old drainpipe than anything else.

Keeping plenty of fiber (fruits and veg's) in the diet seem to prevent this for me.
