Hello! Anyone have any experience good/bad with Klein? I'm considering buying a quantum race, but I like to get different opinions before I shell out the $ for something like this. Thanks in advance for all replies!

Cheers!

Great bikes if you like aluminum.

I have a 2001 Quantum Race. Love the ride responsiveness. For aluminum the ride great.. Maker says frame geometry compensates for aluminum. My first road bike- Scott is steel. I can not see that much difference.
Did you ride it.? I loved the ride at first sight.. Sometimes, wonder if should have gotten a titanium Litespeed. But, I have no regrets.. I compare it with my steel frame bike as I said. I like both for ride.. Just when You ride it- take it out on less than perfect roads, before you buy..

I have a '99 Quantum Race, Love the bike, love the ride. I really cant say anything bad about the bike, not so sure about the color's, i picked up mine of eBay for a steal.

Klein's geometry for 2003 seems to be changed!!!! Only their 3 highest end bikes are still standard geometry. Not good! I was considering a klein for next year. Not anymore!!

Interesting, I'll make sure to put some miles on the new bikes as soon as my LBS has one in. I would have no problems purchasing another Klein, as long as the bike fits & rides nice. Change is not always for the better.

I personaly do not like the look of compact frames... as a tall guy, they never look right once im on them

Thanks guys! I didnt realize they were changing to compact frames for 2003, I might reconsider now.
I'm just getting back into the hobby/sport after a "13 year break" :) I used to ride an aluminum frame with 105, and would be happy with something similar or better (wow prices sure have changed :) ). The LBS in town have a few models I'm considering and would really like everyones opinions!

C'dale R700
Marinoni frame with Veloche gruppo
Giant TCR Aero and TCR2 (not sure about the compact frame though)
Colnago Oval Master with Daytona gruppo (maybe I'm crazy considering this but its being sold off at a big discount!)

I am really greatfull for people who take the time to respond! Thanks again!

I'd go with the Marinoni.
Very well thought of builder
and you don't see a gazillion of em out on
the road.
Velocipedio can help here as he rides one.
