Just wanted to share this pics and show you guys how beautiful my country is. :)

This pics were taken today in a small town near Bogota called Gachancipa. Temperature is quite cold but the trail is pretty nice and lots of people go there.

Pic 1 shows almost all of us when we started the trail. Lots of bikers hu?

Pic #2 Shows the first descent. By the way, the guy with the green and orange (and all the guys with the same uniform belong) to a local racing club.

Pic 3 Is about 15 minutes later, the descent continues through a mountain. The biker in the red jacket is a girl. She's barely 5 feet tall but man is she FAST!

Pic 4 is my buddy Alfredo and his sweet Felt Q800 bike. BTW, another friend of mine fell off just about 90 feet back from where Alfredo is and stayed 15 mins unconscious lying on the floor. Thanks Lord he had a good helmet on.

PIc 5 is just more trail. It's flat and easy but the landscape and the woods is so beautiful...

Pic 6 is a detour we had to make through a cattle farm. Part of the trail is in the mountains you see in the back.

Hope you liked them,

Ricardo

Was it a race or just a big group ride? That's a great turnout.

Looks like you can just fly on those roads.

Well yes, those are pretty big group rides. Average number of riders is 120 and the record is almost 300 people riding.

We have a bike mechanic with us, and a sweep truck that takes care of all the ones who can't finish the trail. At the end we also get a small meal.

About singletrack I don't know since I only do XC but I think I heard somewhere that a bunch of guys where building a singletrack alike a very famous singletrack in the US.

What's the difference between XC and singletrack?

Depends on the singletrack, some singletrack you wouldn't want to bring a xc bike on.

Um, where I come from that's called a road, not a trail.
Looks a beautiful place to cycle though. Hope you had a blast.
