I got my ab workout for the night from reading this thread.
My husband divulged to me that his little brother liked to drink the hotdog-water when he was a little kid.
My husband also has theories about what Hotdog Pasta Bongwater could do for his nerve-damaged, perpetually numb toe.
Hmmm, "Pasta Bong Dogs"; sounds like a good name for a band.
Sure. And they can play the Bongo Song by Safri Dao. :D

Pasta Bong Dogs play the Bongo Song by Safri Dao.
Can you say that three times fast? :D

Just boil the pasta so long it all dissolves. Then it's not pasta water but liquified pasta. Make sure you add just the right amount of sodium... hehe
Well, let's not go throw out the baby with the bathwater.... we can always throw out the baby with the hotdog bong bathwater instead! :D Of course, all this to the music of the Bongo Song. :D

I read parts of this thread aloud to my husband the other night, and today, he said he was thinking at work that if you are wanting to make a true "emergy drink" out of this mess, you should take the pasta-bongwater-hotdog juice and use it to make coffee. Possibly to run it through the coffee maker twice.
Aha.... so the pasta-bongwater-hotdog-bathwater-coffee mix would then be used for.... making green tea, just to give it that dietary edge? :D

Well, in Kyoto (the best place for soba buckwheat noodles) the soba restaurants save the water they use to boil the noodles and they serve it to te customers after the meal. It was one of the best things I ever tasted. A light noodle taste with some texture and opacity with residual nutrients from the soba. Open your minds, people.
It is indeed good--but Kyoto is the best place for soba? That's open to debate :D

Nagano gots some damn good soba. A friend of mine owns a farm there and stuffs me with fresh soba..., but every place is Japan is famous for soba or ramen or this and that, but its all good.
From pasta to hot dog h2o to bong water to soba water...whats next? Still I would drink all thoughs over raw eggs.. Bong water is pretty nasty though, I remeber sucking some down by mistake a few times in high school from a fat rip.

I think those who DID have the nerve to try it won't be able to post here anyway - they might be having massive diarreah at this very moment or in the hospital :D

My family is Italian and we always add salt to the water when boiling pasta, so this would probably be a bad idea.
Man, this thread is still going?
Keep it up.

Newbie to Pasta water here. Quick question to you experienced pasta water cyclists.
What's better..
Japanese pasta water? Or Italian pasta water?
;)
It's probably a toss up (when you're not tossing your cookies from drinking both, that is ;) ).
