Rides and Races - DC Pirates' Pillages and Plunders

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Yup. The major thing is that your nasty, dirty, greasy bicycle is fully enclosed so it doesn't soil some honest citizen's suit.
seriously there havent been honest citizens in the megalopolis for decades!
so, are folks coming to critical mass tonight, or will i be on my own??
your on your own i have to train people so i can go to chicago

Is there a run for Tues? There was talk about it at CM,but nothing on the calendar. Me and Poopn were recruiting after CM,so there may be a couple of prospects showing up.

I'm really, really sorry those didn't work out. That really sucks. Really really sucks.
On another note...
my heart skipped a beat this morning when I did my regular check of the jonny cycles website. Jon's almost done with the bike he's working on now, and there's only two more frames in front of me!! He and I are doing the final decisions chat in person in chicago. I'm so nervous that I'll order the wrong thing, but I'm so excited to finally get my bike. After a craptastic day, this was the news I needed.
Here's your last chance for input. So far, it's solid blue with stainless lugs. There will be stars cut out of the lugs, showing the blue paint through them. Fix, of course, drilled for two brakes. Stainless fork crown. Integrated seat binder bolt. Stars cut into the dropouts. No brazeons. S&S Couplers. Nearly square frame, somewhat like the steamroller, only shorter TT and taller ST. Oh, and I'm going to get "this machine kills fascists" painted on the chainstay.
I've been waiting since May.

It was a good time though it sucked about the rain. Props go to Tink for showing me the Memorial Bridge, Arlington, and Columbia Pike for the first time. Also, thanks go to MDRawk for pointing me in the right direction back to MD when I got "a little turned around."
I hope all of the Chicago-bound have a great time this weekend.

Hey DC crew! This here is your formal invitation to pizza and beer Friday for lunch. There's a pizza place near my work that has (for $5) a personal pizza/ draft beer (Leinenkugel's is the best of what they offer with the special). You only get one beer with your pizza (the rest are pretty expensive) BUT!!! YOU CAN ORDER MORE THAN ONE PIZZA!!!!

re: LBK, don't know, she hasn't tried to reach me. Are u OK LBK?
Re: BB and HS, Spud, we can rig up an oversized machine if u really want to. Got a Kabuki in 55 cm, its got my old rolling stock on it (just switched wheels this weekend). It needs to have its BB and HS repacked,,, or we can just say F it and ride it anyway. Will need a set of pedals and a set of chain ring spacers to remove the extra chain ring & a saddle. Its got center pulls like your rig.
the Kabuki is fixed? i have my schwinng i can ride.

Doesn't matter to me,cause I'm bringing a rain bike.

After a 5 cup of coffee day, I am about to crazh hard..Booger & Spud, you guys are great, bring your rides over anytime and we'll get them back in shape. If it rains and no one shows, we can always go back to my place and work on your bikes. ^Apprehensive about being apprehended - cow
I have been so jealous of the time you guys had all day.
Wednesday looks like the rain may be over by the evening...it should be dry for the weekend.
I am starting to think that Tink practices his grins in the mirror. Apple pie face is something else.
