I thought it was 30 minutes spent deciding where to go first?
with starting from homebase, i think that creates another problem of mustering exit velocity from warmcozydrinksyumdontwannaleave homebase, which in the end could kill more time.
or why don't we make the meet up time 7:30, and then the slacker (sometimes me) will be punctual

12-08-05, 01:19 PM
how about saying we'll roll out at 7:10 or so, and if you're late, just make sure you have someone's cell #.
tonight, please dress warm. we'll be riding up to Florida ave to play on a track. when you're not riding, you might get very very cold.

Should we consider meeting up at Homebase
+10
this is brilliant.
i for one am all in favor of not shivering my ball bearings off while standing and waiting for spud to show up.
PLUS they like us at hBase (<------)
PLUS they have food
PLUS they serve tEh booze
PLUS they,, well screw it,, it rocks!
ALL IN FAVOR OF BOOGER's IDEA?

I know this is going to be funny coming from me, but if I don't show tonight don't be mad that I made everyone change the meeting place. I just think it is a good idea till spring.
Work sucks but I am going to try and make it.

dude, i know we've had some good times...
but now...
....
they're all over!
We're through you hear me!?! DONE!
no more late night snuggle sessions, no more friendly reacharounds,,
you and me -- we're DEAD to each other
punk
you better not show.
they'll be trouble
i geeh-ron-tee
the other thing is, it should be known where the first place we're going to before we freeze another 15 minutes after the slacker arrives, ive been the slacker last couple times. i mean why wait the ten minutes if you know who the slacker is and the slacker knows where the first stop is? < this is mostly for cold weather, in the spring and summer waiting 10 or 15 minutes is fine.

Make you? Nobody made you. We handed you the cans, you drank them. There was no force involved. Some crying perhaps, but no force. ;)
And please tell me that you're just kidding and you really stayed over at poop's. Sparks+skinny smooth tires+snow=not a good idea.
OBTW Chimbley, good thing I had my protective eyewear. Salt truck passed me going up Mass and I felt something ping off the lens with great force. Protective eyewear rocks!

chimbly and i suggested you stay at pnc's the next second you were riding on rhode island in the snow.
Can I get broadband on my toaster internet appliace?

a good time was had by all.
anyone who's hardcore enough to want to ride this weekend, ring me up. i'm thinking Okashii could use some time down on the point.
well thank you.
i rode into julie and fell off right before getting to raven. thats all i can really remember. maybe she can recount it better than i. i landed on my knee. havent ridden since. boooooooo
on 16th, we were crossing an intersection/turn lane, chelsea came up a little fast didnt really notice until it was too late and her front wheel crossed with julie's rear wheel, julie managed to stay up and pedal out of it but chelsea lost balance and hit the pavement still straddling the bike, i think if she had let go it would have been less severe, but her bike kind of pinned her left leg on impact. it could have been worse.
i lost control on the W&OD riding into work yesterday, hit some black ice and back wheel just slipped out, i was able to keep balance for a few more feet but didnt compensate enough and it slid underneath me again, luckily i was able to unclip and just let it slide; i landed on my right leg and hands; so i guess i could have damaged my right knee then, but i didnt feel any pain then or the rest of the night. so whatever i did this morning, i think is just a strain or twist.
ride with your helmets kids, be cautious when riding in groups, slow down and ride gently when its around freezing, keep cellphones within arms length if youre riding alone. keep it awesome. :)
peace,
spud
