Well, my pictures are up. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolverine_9_5/sets/72057594048995746/) There aren't that many but I'm still not that good at so-called Party Photography.

Also, I have video of one style skid, the first round of footdown, and one of Team Puma falling on the stairs. Only, I have no idea how to publish these files. Any Ideas?

Ah my dear friend Mr. Skowlifield, my sincerest apologies. No, i take that back. Apology retracted!Formal negitiotions abandoned! Diplomatic ties cut off! Your puny little arms wouldn't even reach my face. So how 'bout we settle this the old fashioned way: with our velocipedes in a city that is foreign to both of us. And not some ****** flatlander midwester city either, like Cleveland or Duluth or St. Louis, but a real city, with hot dogs and public transpo and ****. You game? Maybe then and there we can get back together. Ambassador Jonnyvus the Fifthus, out.

butterstick tickets are for today!

meet at the conn ave entrance to the zoo no later than 12:30. Our entrance time is 12:50 and it says we have to be in line 20 min early, so...

I really need a big pasta dinner, personally, as recovery for the weekend. So, perhaps after butterstick, an easy 20 mi ride perhaps with some pasta at the end? Maybe ride out to Bethesda and find us some pasta? Whaddy'all think? We'll discuss over panda viewing.

Big thanks to everyone who came from far away to party in DC.

Wow, 49 pages.

Hey, guys. I miss you. I miss riding my bike. I want to come and ride with you people tomorrow evening. This is fairly short notice, but hey, do what you can.

PLAN: meet at Sherwood at 7:30-7:45ish. I don't care what we do, as long as it involves riding bikes. We can ride around and grab some dinner, maybe some beers or whatever. I just want to get on my bike again. I'm going crazy in the suburbs!

Anybody in? (I hardly ever have time to check the BF during the day at work, and I haven't been online as much at home, so that explains my absence. I really miss you guys, though.)

Pirates,

I can't ride for some time. My knee is not getting any better and I have been forced to give up most everything that request the use of legs.

The good news is that I plan on drinking alot, hopeful making polo as a spectator, and siting at home buying bike thinks online that I can't use for a long time.

If you all ride up to my parts (Adams Morgan) give me a call. I can hop down to have a drink or two.

Also, I was thinking of getting a pirate poker game together if anyone would like to play.

Last thing, Do you know that Snapple is making pie in a bottle?http://www.snapple.com/snapplepie.html

Howdy everyone! I'm fairly new to riding fixed (about three months). I've been looking for a group of folks to ride with and learn from. If I can get out of something I'm loosley comitted to I might join you guys tonight if thats ok.

When you say 7:30 ish at Sherwood, are you referring to Sherwood Park in North East?

jonny5
01-18-06, 05:24 PM
negatory: we're referring to sherwood forest, an ancient grove of dark and mysterious woods not far from the white house, at 14th and K.

Hear ye hear ye: hot-off-the-presses Pirate ride summary

Item #1: I checked. Life on Mars? = Hunky Dory. Touche.
(I owe some wise emo kid $10...hell, no loss, it made me go listen to Hunky Dory again. It's awesome duh. Everyone should go listen to Hunky Dory. Go now or else!)

#2: This evening was fun, if more drinkey and shivery than ridey. Hey. Whatever. That's the way it goes sometimes. You learn things, ie: people are pickers. (You know who you are.)

#3 daibutsusan says to Sparks, "what exactly was that that I just drank?"
(boohahahaha. exactly.) Don't fear the Sparks, new guy!

#4 U St. Cabbie says to LBK: "Yo friends are fight-ting back there!" Tank you refreshingly helpful cabbie guy!

#5 New day rising for me when I turn down Taco Bell.

Gnite, fair hills of Rosslyn!

Yep. I didn't even remember the $10 part of that whole bet. I would like it in golden dollar coins.

#5 New day rising for me when I turn down Taco Bell.
We did sit in the parking lot, contemplating a nice vomit.

poopncow
01-19-06, 09:40 AM
The vomit would have been a nice touch, much better than the pickery talk.... which also makes me vomit. For selectively induced vomiting, lets bring a bottle of peroxide next time. We can have 2 bottles, Sparks in one and Peroxide in the other. Any new guy gets to choose and chug, then they get a spoke card.

Looks like the weather is going to be warm this weekend, anyone up for a ridey afternoon?
