Rides and Races - DC Pirates' Pillages and Plunders

Anyway, just introducing myself and looking to join up with you all on Tuesday. Probably try and leave Falls Church around 6pm for anyone who is interested in riding in to the meeting spot.

I live in Falls Church. I need to wait until Monday to find out my Tuesday working schedule, but maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Occaisionally we throw down an all day Saturday ride and hit all the good bars in one day...one glorious long day called WUSS.

So I have lunch at the Old Dominion Brewery today with two friends. One goes to the bathroom and comes back asking me if I am part of WUSS. I'm like: "WHAT? Are you OK, there?". Well, he says that I've been riding in this area for quite a while and don't know about WUSS and so on. Since he has no clue about bikes whatsoever and doesn't own one I am sure he is not part of WUSS. But I thought I'd try to google "WUSS", but nothing came up.
Then I check if there are any new posts on the forum and run into yours... :rolleyes:

hey just wanted to say that I picked up my suburban from the farm this weekend and will be ready to haul bikes and people up to the century on friday.

I'm leaving the dC area pretty early as I want to set up my camp site before dusk.

Give me a call if you need a ride. I think I have space for one more person.

Will be leaving for OC a little after 330 on Fri. Got an efficiency suite in OC and can host a few more peeps. Can also haul you to where ever if you need a later ride than Tink.

i had a similar, but not exactly the same, idea for the DC street pirates...i like that whoever took the pictures wasted no time and did so while pissing, very classy.

ridey. it'll be VA - DC - MD - DC and so on... not hilly, but fairly far. I'd expect 15+. I'll be fixed, but there will be gearheads coming as well.

bring head lights! I can see a nice long exposure shot of headlights and blinkie on the mt V trail w monuments across the river....

so we rolled over to arlington to hit up some pilsners at Dr. Dremos
we caused quite a stir with all our bikes piled against a wall inside
but not nearly as much as when we were leaving!!

we found ourselves at Rock Bottom for food and drink a'plenty
there we holed up in our very own pirate cove and made merry

after that was a messy ordeal involving 4 bars in downtown
in the pursuit of the pitcher we ended up at Harry's
