Whoa, man. 74 pages. Does anyone even use that other mailing list thing we had set up?
Also, hi, strangers. I've been super miss busypants lately but I miss you guys and I want to come in and do stuff. Is polo happening ever?

holla!
i think the ihop promotion is for the short stacks, i'd say we do a couple different contests, all of which we can decide upon at homebase or ihop.

Great ride LBK, nice milage to burn the carbs, even without the hurling or the repeating!
Where is the pancakes house?

damn i missed out on dem pancakes. shucks.
tink20seven
03-01-06, 09:33 AM
As it turned out, that was actually one of the better rides we've had
Sorry you missed it! More people should have come, but hey, we did just fine.
so waiting for LBK to show up was no fun - i was starving by that point
but we soon set off for IHOP.
We rode up wilson and were cheered by the crowds waiting for the mardi gras parade to begin. It was such a surreal momment.
We devoured out free shortstacks and watched both Nathan and RPC do shots of syrup. gross but awesome.
we then ventured deep into the heart of yarrlington.
to the glebe and back again.
steep hills and no brakes makes for touchy decents, but we lived.
I wanna know how service at that bar was so terrible.
I mean,, it was just baaaaad.
and their pool table was so slanted each shot was a masse
Some of us were getting saucy,
and some of us were not
we were all having a good time though so it was good.
back into dc, we were able to ride together as a pack much better
that is of course, until spud crashed infront of the white house.
i'll let him explain that and show the wounds.
Ending up at Kenny's new house.
no more pancakes! :(
but good times and beer.
this has been a crappy recount of the night,
but i'm hungover and still feeling crappy, so....
I know that there were a ton of photos taken last night... let's see em!!
thanks for coming out people.
next stop - CRITICAL MASS FRIDAY!

Pirates---
I'm going to have to take a break from riding...but that doesn't mean I can't still pillage! :)
Spud, we ought to compare wounds. I too got into a crash last weds, resulting in a few injuries.
Anyhow, I just wanted to give a shout out and say I'll be back as soon as possible because I do like you Pirates so far!

-Sorry for all those counting on second supper of pancakes. I guess I dropped the ball.
-BUT I GAVE YOU YOUR VERY OWN PIRATE PARADE! May well be one of the best parade experiences ever. My ego is glowing still!! See how they cheer for us? *blush* Marvelous us!
-Romel won the Championship Syrup Chugging Trophy! Kudos! Close runner up...Wolverine the Butter Eater.
-The Glebe is watching. The Glebe knows. The Gleeeeeeeeeebe. The Glebe believes in equal rights and opportunities for women in the military. The Glebe has spoken.
-Smelly ol Jay's Saloon...that long dumper was the first sign of crap to come. Worst. Service. Ever.
-Syrup shots with a Yuengling chaser= awesomely yummy. Who knew?
-Thanks to all who came out and made it fun! And as for the rest... The Glebe is deeply disappointed in you.

the long dumper
bwaaa hahahah
man that guy was intense.
and gnidir,,
sorry to hear about your wreck.
i've been looking for your bike downstairs and have wondered where you've been.
give me a call and lets get together this week.
you dropped der Ball on the lingonberry pancakes for sure; and then Kenton failed to pick it up, *******os!
the parade was awesome, maybe its time for a helmet cam. i mean how many other bike gangs get parades, we got to flaunt our accomplishments.
the glebe, well i don't know, it was the glebe all right, but what the **** does that even signify? i guess noah and i are glad we didnt endo on a hidden pothole after you dropped us. what does the glebe think about gays in the military?
Jay's Saloon might be alright on a non-weekend/non-holiday night, all those fratboys weren't helping, and the outrageously small pool table (and matching pool cue) were pretty ****ed, and awesome shooting by Nathan at the end of the second game. ok so maybe we shouldnt ever pillage there again.
great stencil design and "marking" tink. i think its time to start plastering stickers all over.
i dont even know what happened last night, i was out of the saddle accelerating and threw too much weight, i guess i'm not used to rigid forks not robbing all my power, and went toppling, it seems the camera is fine which i immediately grabbed and tried to keep from smashing, it has some scars now. my wounds arent that bad, and are healing up faster than i would have expected, i'll take pictures later tonight. the worst part is going up and down steps, and i guess i'll be looking for a new winter jacket.
in other news, the hills of yarrlington pillage is coming up on the first of april daytime ride, bring gears, bring brakes, bring beer, bring pancakes and pie, whatever you want: no excuses not to be there. i'll give injured pirates a ride on my handlebars.
i'm glad everyone came out too, i was a little confused when dave and i rolled up and there were only two other pirates.

April 30th--Track Racing Clinic (Trexlertown, PA): Get a jump on this
experience! Clinics are the ONLY time that you can rent a track bike and
get expert instruction on the track. It's a lot of fun, and great for your

Spud: glad you're ok. That looked brutal. Gave me an emmildew flashback. Hope the bikes' ok too. The Fuji's too pretty for crashing.
Chimbly: smack me if I forget to give you the pipe cutter at CM or polo. I brought it on Tues, but didn't think of it until after you'd peeled off.

Cool, should be fun and not too brutal.
I'm out of town 4th thru 11th, and the 25th is not good (smithsonian kite festival...which is a good time, we should visit)
How about Tax day? and with taxes I think of glutonny, and with glutonny, I think of gut and when I think of gut I think of pot bellies, and when I think of pot bellies I can't help but think "NAVAL". Still interested? :D

spud.. you're such a sissy.
quit your whining!
yeah,, remember michelle? our friend gnidir peek?
well i called her last night to find out what's been going on, and if she was ok.
get this.
she was in an bike accident,
she fractured her pelvis and broke her collarbone (?) in three places!!!!!!
so i ask her, "OMG how are you doing, can I bring you lunch etc.", and she's all like, "naw i'm okay, i can get around just fine with my crutch, i want to feel normal..."
holy sh*T!
that's one tough lady!
still feel like you're banged up?
didn't think so
:P

Michelle, Oh that sucks, hope you get well soon. Gosh, first the ankle and now....
hope you mend stronger and faster!
3 fractures and a pelvis?! And your just on a crutch? And you ran a half marathon on the ankle ... talk about hardcore!
Spud: glad you're ok. That looked brutal. Gave me an emmildew flashback. Hope the bikes' ok too. The Fuji's too pretty for crashing.
I think some new bar tape will cover it, my leg and forearm took most of the impact.
so this was the maiden crash on the fuji?
my maiden crash, it had been crashed before, the Fuji bars need new tape too.
bull****...news...bull****...bull**** with about 25 carriage returns
yes i remember her, do you have short term memory problems? i don't. we're having lunch tomorrow. we'll compare wounds. yes it still hurts, yes i feel banged up.

monstertrack content
team pirate assemble? please?
i'm picking up the car ~530 at dollar rent a car at DCA (it's off-airport). where will you meet me? there? somewhere else? it would be best if we didn't have to go through the city... PM me, mateys.
tshirt content
guys, i think we need to move on 2006 tshirts. i owe them to two people already for being good pirate hosts.
i also think that if LBK doesn't wanna do 'em, we should just hire out. this would mean we have to order a batch and guess on future-needed sizes, but i don't think one pirate need be burdened with the tshirt duties (unless she wants to...)
anyone?
i know someone who can do the screenprinting. and we need to do a pirate roll/t-shirt call.
Britpac

I'll ride CM tonight. Rugby duties tomorrow mean no monster track for me....truth be told I am really just frightened but I am trying to keep that on the DL..ooops

New logo for the T-shirts is in the works.
think along the lines of magical butterflies and lollipops
oh, and maybe a few unicorns
and rainbows
lots of rainbows
yeah.
it'll be great
Elbeekay
03-03-06, 10:42 AM
I'm gonna pass on the t-shirt responsibilities to someone else. I lost money when pirates ordered and then went awol or took a shirt and didn't pay (cough. emilymildew.) harrumph.
*edit* oh, but i'd definitely buy one with unicorns on it.
No critical mass for me. But I'll be out for Sunday Hains Ride. It's been so long since I had grilled cheese...
And get well soon wishes to Michelle! what a trooper!
