I'm riding up the CCT to Bethesda @ 6:30, cause I need to to go to Hudson Trail in tenley to return a tire. Those dudes gave me a 23mm and a 28mm and I didn't notice before getting home.

There is a big DC contingent already planning to go to Iowa, I don't know how this will work but half the staff from Chi-Cha Lounge are going out there. (And bringing friends). The Mojitos will be better than ever this year.

The point is that the BFFG folks are tight, many of us have met, and we were talking a few months ago on the forum about assembling a nationwide BFFG crew to ride it.

You'll find people are friendlier on the forum if you use the search function to get the background on stuff and to see if a thread already exists before posting.

half the designers last week complained about the deadline being too soon, so i'm pushing it back to the end of the month.

Well, i got the box with the bars, stem, seat post, and seat. The frame did not arrive yet...still in CA as far as i can tell even though it was to be delivered today. Don't use Fedex. They are idiots. I cleaned the parts with WD40. That took all the tape gunk right off. Still waiting...and practicing the Julie method of FedEx anger management.

update: i got ahold of someone at FedEx and they say the tracking system sucks. He says it will arrive tomorrow. I am so excited.

you have to sign up for an ESPN account. i know it's a pain, but 1) ESPN keeps track of the brackets for us, which is super helpful, and 2) you could actually win the $1,000,000 tournament challenge as a friendly extra to all this.

brackets are fun. you can choose who you think will win, or you can have the better mascots win, or you can have the pro-choice states clobber the anti-choice states, or you can have every team that wears orange win. it's goofy fun.

Who wants to ride to the crab place in bethesda, crescent trail north, then indulge in maritime grub, then south on sideroads or perhaps back down the CCT.

Ride and dinner at my place, watch "the harder they come", or another bike movie.
The only problem with the harder they come is that it is equally a low budget movie third world movie, reggae movie, gangster movie etc.

I want to ride in the park more, but I work at the farmers market 10-2 on Sundays. (Takoma Park) so the beer and cheese rides are out. Allthough, maybe, if you guys want...come by the farmers market, we are selling cheese. Really great cheese.

But, If you all would like to ride on Saturday, I would like to do the climbing loop in the park, or beach drive, then up to Bethesda and down the CCT?

the return of the pirate classics will come with the return of spring-- the margarita rallies, the rum runners... generally we leave it up to individuals to plan pillages and we all just come along. name your date, name your ride, people will be there.
