anyone near sherwood and want to ride home? (north).
I am killing time for the next ten to fifty minutes while I wait for a response.

Hey, if most folks (who work in the OD and live north) finish at around the same time and many are going the same way, why not create an informal rally point and time in case company is worth a little waitng or a little lateral travel?
who is the screen printer?

Hey poopncow, Sunday you were talking about some ride coming up in NY, but I'm not that bright so I don't remember much about it. If you have any details you can give me that'd be cool, thanks.

Don't mean to hijack haines, but folks are welcome before during or after and the company is always fun.
I will be there from 930 -230 sunday. Behind the church in front of video american. Specifically, I am usually in front of Polly Sue's, where Juniper would be glad to sell you something new to you.
Noted cycling enthusiast Noah Adams sometimes comes by and the cheese, yoghurt etc. is yummy and better than organic.
dragons breath-beware the dragon super hot peeper jack with four kinds of peppers.
Vermeer-gouda style
Wallaby-montery jack style
cheddar-" "
Feta
Feta de provence (with traditional provencal herbs)
Italian herb feta
(it isn't goat cheese, its brined cheese)
marinated feta with EVOO, bay leaves, whole peppercorns and garlic.
Yoghurt, such good yoghurt. So cheap. Plain and with fruit, two sizes.
Ricotta.
Feta sampler.
Veal (not the mean kind, veal just means that it's from young cattle (think lamb).
Other stands, have pastuered eggs (free range, eating a natural diet, distinguished by dark orange yolks).
meat, honey , mushrooms, apples, greens, herbs, amazing breads, pastries, etc.
BTW, on a related note. Turn out everything we know about nutrition is wrong.
Well, most.
Your high cholesterol isn't that bad but your low good cholesterol is very dangerous.
Fearing cholesterol many americans stopped eating eggs in the eighties and deprived of the vital lecitihin discovered a previously rare and exotic metal deterioration, alzheimers disease.
Animal fats are easy to process and even a diet high in eggs and meat is fairly low in fat compared with a diet high in trans fats which your body is unable to process correctly. An example of a diet high in transfats is almost every food you eat.
Transfats are essentially animal fats manufactured from vegetable oils through hydrogentation.
examples are peanut butter, crisco, margarine, the filling of Oreo's, twinkies, etc.
These are easy to avoid, however, others are more pernicious. Any bread that doesn't get stale within a day or so is loaded with transfats. Ever wonder about chewy chips ahoy?
1. If it is fluid at room temperature it is an oil and might make you a little chubby but it will keep you healthy.
2.If it solid at room temperture it is a fat and is ver, ver, Mal.
I found all this really interesting, especially coming from the cardiologist on which the movie '"The Insider" is partially based. Since we are all kinds healthy folks, despite our riding problems and rum intake.
Weird though, since we have been told all of our lives that the opposite was true.
Oh well, they only just discovered plate techtonics.

I made some nickers out of dickies and reflecto tape.
They work great, anyone want to have some made, help me make some? Have a sewing machine?
Get patches made?
Etc?
Dude I think you read my mind. I was about to put out the call here to see if anyone knew how to sew, because I wanted a pair of black and a pair of brown "Dickies" nickers (no reflecto tape).

yes, design contest ends soon! email me your entries (PSD or print-ready quality jpeg) when theyre done and i'll throw them up on a website. also start suggesting slogans for the back.
i've emailed my friend who does screening, hopefully she'll get back to me tomorrow about prices, which means we'll also i'll need money up front to get these done, no more IOUs. if you want extras cause youre sloppy or want to give them away as gifts order them now, probably get them cheaper with quantity, and i'm sure a second run will have a minimum order. as it is now, i think they will be 8/each, but i could be way off. i think they are AA, so last years size should work.

I just bought an ITM Open 800 road stem and it bottoms out in my fork at just about the minimum insertion mark. I want to get it quite a bit lower, so I think I need to use a hack saw.
Does anyone own a vice and hacksaw so that I might do some hacking?

Leb dude, think you may have a design problem that a hack saw will not fix. What are you going to saw off?
Not knowing the entire ITM product line. It appears from what you wrote that you have a threaded fork & head set. Unless you mated a very small frame with a fork (with a steerer tube that is butted) barrowed from a bigger bike, there really should not be anything keeping you from inserting the stem properly. Try cleaning the inside of the steerer tube. If however, this is not the problem, PM or AIM.

I know I'll be too lazy to clean up my bike after riding in the wet tonight, so I've decided to skip on the shenaneghans tonight. I'll toss some century miles on the trainer instead. Unfortunately, the Richmond run's out too ... I already promised my friend in Baltimore that I'd fix her computer Saturday :(
CM in two weeks? Excited to see the flags come out.

Yes, it's a threaded stem.
I was thinking about cutting the bottom of the stem off, up to the minimum insertion point, so that it would sink deeper.
OK - When I get home from work tonight I will take your suggestion and clean out the inside of the steerer tube as much as possible. If that doesn't work, I'm going to post measurements and pictures to make this clearer and also try to figure out what's stopping the stem from entering all the way (butting or some obstruction). The steel stem and bike are both fuji, but I'm not the original owner so I don't know about past par recombinations
Thanks maties for your suggestions. I'm going to be at the next critical mass. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Alright so now i'm really excited.
I can't wait to see what this year's shirt is going to look like.
I was thinking maybe john could take the 4 finalists of what we choose, and then create a new poll thread with a heading that says something like "help the pirates choose their new T-shirt"
it would be good visibility and kinda fun to get the whole forum invovled.
Naturally we wouldn't have to go with what they decided,
but it would be interesting to hear suggestions from non-pirates.

Question: Who is interested...seriously about riding the 5 buro tour? It is the first sunday in May and registration fee is above 40USD. but I like riding it and others may find it interesting too.
What's the general pirate consensus regarding $20 conversions and DFL? I ain't sure I'm up for racing at the moment but I would like to meet some veloci-peeps.
Where's the actual track, 13th and Florida NW? That or 1st and N NW I'd guess.
dave, sure i think we may as well let people vote on all the design entries.
zack, DFL? its track racing not an alleycat. suicide hubs arent the best idea, we have no requirement for your bike to be fixed, except for the slow races.
