BROWN HORNETS!!!!! there is another drinking bicycling crowd in DC! Is there going to be a fight for street domination? Or do we join forces to destroy the Segway and WAKA (Kickball) crowd?

I don't make it out much, and I don't know who these Brown Hornets are, but I'm all about bringing on the destruction of the Segway and kickball crowds! Grrrrrrr!

CM! I knew there was a previous engagement for Fri! Hey we can hang out in town or build or watch movies after CM on Fri. Saturday's for Rockville but Sunday is open post cheese and stuff or CSC. It must be a real challenge to stay focus on that course even with the potholes on wilson keeping you awake.

btw: with RPC bragging about his recent speed, should we have our own private pirate race? say a 40 or 50 miler.... geared.... PLEASE

Wednesday: Polo
Thursday: T-Shirt Pillage
Friday: CM & Cycling Cinema Workshop
Saturday: CSC (I thought it was CAT3 and up only?)
Sunday: Laps and Cheese

Is that right? BTW, I only said it took me 15 minutes less this time than the last time; I left out that it still took me over three hours to do it - slow in alot of people's books :)

I have some crap... Surly chain tensioner, shimano SIS rear and front derailer, shimano Light Action(?) rear derailer, some crap flat pedals, 40 and 42 tooth chain rings,(don't know bcd, off an old Sugino road crank). If anyone wants any of it let me know and I'll bring it Thursday. I'll be meeting up kinda late though.

The brown hornets are very senior ex messengers who still come out to run checkpoints.
Incidentally, Lindsay makes some of the nicest bags I have ever seen and she is local.

A few days before we ran into Joel outside the Pharm I wrote a comment critical of tall bikes.
When I was talking to him, I mentioned it.

I wasn't talking smack about his bike.

However, I would like to build other freak bikes, trailers etc. I would be nice to have them out and about this summer. I am thinking especially of cargo bikes and tricycles. I know this would be a problem for apt dwellers but I will volunteer my garage.

i think the baltimore folks have their own games going on. i know there was actually an article in the baltimore sun (or was it the post?) about a respectable group of 30-somethings that play polo on grass in bmore...

ours is on pavement, the rules are no footdown and no high-sticking, and we play every other Wed.

trikes/quads not allowed, footdown results in the player circling out of play, though we have not been strict on that lately.
maybe Bobby is using a pseudonym for this race.
