this has been an eventful two days of packages

This morning at 8:14 am I was hit by a cab. I was going north on Vermont Ave just south of the circle. The cab was trying to cut across the street to go in to an alley. He made a left in front of me, out of nowhere. I clipped his hood and went flying. Busted both my elbows, my bad knee, and my left shoulder. The cops gave the cabbie a ticket for failure to yield.

I went to the hospital and got my cat scanned, and half of my body x-rayed. I am fine, just very sore. I did however got some percocet. I love me some drugs.

Peter, you were at Haines? It was only bad that quarter mile section past the gate. I was hanging on the wheel of Route 1 Velo most of the way ... those guys are quick.

Got there late, only the lead pack left when I got there, no chance of holding those front guys. Usually, I can hang mid pack on the sprints, and hang in the back where it is safer from the tools that coast and yoyo the pack. now if I can only loose the extra 12 lbs I picked up.....

the folks at City provided a very official quote which noted parts and service for me after I got hit.
Once you get reimbursed by the insurance companies, you can do with the money as you like.
The check arrived in 2 weeks!

My raleigh 10 speed was stolen from my truck last night in Rosslyn, somewhere between 7pm and 3am. it appears that the only thing taken was the complete bicycle, i have a lot of other components and some wheels that were untouched, so not the most intelligent of theives. not the best bike in the world by any stretch of the imagination, nor worth a lot of money, but a lot of fun. i'll try to find a picture of it.

I got to call my Doc next week. But I don't think I will be on a bike for a few weeks. I took a pretty big hit. My knee feels like ****. I think I need an MRI. Dam Dam Dam

Have you been contacted by the driver's insurance yet? If not you need to take initiative and get things rolling. Your doc also needs to know that you need to see him because you feel that it is an emergency. Use the words constant pain, it wakes you up at night....etc there are key words that practically require him to see you right away.
