way fun, great idea booger. we should do that more often. how about a bagged lunch hour of power next time so we can just ride to a park and eat, no worries about where to eat, what to eat, or waiting for food. by the way, fantastic choice of foodery.
Good idea! Hour of Power: Bag Lunch
we can totally rock it with a picnic basket too...

With my canine sidekick, I'd walk and ride the region and fantasize about giving a tour, to share the history abandoned. Now, among you, surfaces this perfect facility to carry it out. So here it comes, the PG Pillage: Port Towne History Bike Tour!
Discover the gems of this region, the legends and the history. The tour thus far includes sites related to "The Excorcist", Explorer John Smith and the Nacochtank, Dueling Creek/Blood Run dueling grounds, The Battle of Bladensburg. The tour includes current goods and establishments such as the Anacostia Tribuitary Trail System and local operations/bussiness like Glut Food CoOp, Anacostia Watershed Society, and Franklins Restaurant micro-brewed ales.

gahhh. can't make it tonight!!!
I was riding my fixie on Sunday, and was wondering why my chain popped off so often... I loosened my front chainring, then re-tightened it in the star-pattern... still did it... so I look carefully, and my rear cog is going up and down. I need to see why the craap it's doing that... cross threaded? I shure as shiite hope not... aaahhh!!! so I'm going to spend $30 on a lockring wrench, but that takes weeks. Anyone want to help me wrench on wed or thurs evening?
It's ridable... I don't think that riding it will hurt it any more than it already is... if it's f'ed it's f'ed either way.... just sucks to have that involuntary skid sometimes more than others.

haha yeah, I'm not actually riding that anywhere... using the gears for the time being. have fun in chicago!
it's out of comission until I can get a wrenching crew (or person) with lockring wench.
edit... I'm not sure what a lockring wench would look like, but I can imagine! no really I meant wrench, with an 'r' in there.

I know I should come ride... but I've unfortunately got lots of 'work' to do tonight, of all nights... doesn't happen often, but sometimes ya just have to spend your evening making sure your ass doesn't get fired by working at home.

edit edit... ryand, I KNEW you'd post something amazing!!! I love the eyes... ape? dog? haha

Is it really just the cog that's moving up and down? It might be a bent axle...

That's kinda what I was thinking. Also you can get a lockring wrench locally instead of waiting so long. If nobody gets to ya first I can take a look this weekend.

uh-oh... brand-spanking new IRO hub? possible.
of course, it's more probable that I messed something up... but I'd feel better about my skills if the axle's bent, even though it'd be a bigger pain in the ass than just f'ed up threads.
so good pillage last night.
complete with getting hit by cars, passing out on aquaducts, fire department evacuating buildings, and sleeping on roofs. very epic. oh, and i cant forget, boomboxmike's ultra metal mix of epic proportions.
and i say that is all we say about last nights pillage. anybody that wasnt there shall never know.

Last night was great, man Ryan, I don't care, I'm telling everyone about Nathan's cookies!
Nathan brought cookies! So rich in butter were they, that eating one little cookie was like eating half a stick of butter. Such a fatty flavor coupled with the flavor of butterscotch, left a most rum-clamoring delightful essence among the palate.
The Argonaut at 15th and Maryland Avenue NE is nauticly designed, spacious, dark, decorated with globes and old used wooden furniture. A pitcher of Heineken was 16$ and a BLT was 8. I liked the feel of the place, but wouldn't be able to eat there much.
H street hill is cursed, say I. Listen to Slayer's 'Angel Of Death' on that hill at your own risk.
I had a blast, everyone. It was fun hanging out with you all. I'm glad last night was as good as it was, it easily could've been tragic. That moment really sucked.
Shane, you hooked us up while busy busting your butt for all those customers. Thank you.
boomboxmike, youre my blood brother for life.
