Meet at Sherwood at 8:00, ride a bit and end at what will surely be the film that defines this century!
I really just have nothing for that sentence. I'm just dumbfounded at it and can't think of anything stupider to say :p

Sick days are the best! I just woke up, again. Of course I'm sick too so that sucks. Anyway, Ryan what's the word on your bike? Is it OK?
frame is straight, saddle is bent, wheels are being trued. should be fine.
so... i wanna get a fizik saddle for a relatively low price...
Whats the difference between this saddle (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140019979582&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=140019980268&itemcount=12&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CategoryProximity&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget) and this saddle (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140019980268&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr12_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=140019979582&itemcount=12&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CategoryProximity&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget) anyhow?
(other than ten dollars)

Basically the same saddle, but the TRI has added padding in the nose specifically for those who spen lots of time all the way forward in TT or bullhorn bars. But hey, extra padding for ten less bucks, why not?

I'm finally in DC with my bike assembled. I'm still fixed-less, but I guess I'm in the market for changing that. I was at the Velvet Lounge on U St. last night and saw a guy ride by at about 11:30 pm on a red fixie with flat bars and black tape wrapped around both the top tube and the down tube. I had a feeling that I had seen that bike on here before, anybody know the owner?
On the topic of getting a fixed... I don't know what to do. If I could get a track frame and people could help me build it up with spare parts for cheap I'd like to go that route. If it's going to cost me upwards of $500 to do that I'd rather just buy new. In that case, any suggestions? I've been eyeing the IRO Mark V and the Pista. Which one comes with better components? I don't care too much about having the same bike as everybody else, I just want the best deal.
Any help/advice is appreciated.
ps-any suggestions for good places to buy beer/wine near Foggy Bottom?

Welcome to town. Come on down to 14th and K tomorrow for Snakes on a Plane. That'd probably be a good place to ask a handfull of people about fixies and maybe ride a couple...
i would say to go with the mark v over the pista. i have an iro angus and i love it.
steve, you should include the time so he knows and doesnt have to go through our last two pages of dumbness.
14 and k(its a park, we meet by the fountain), 8pm. preorder your ticket on fandango. (9:45 showing of snakes on a plane at the georgetown loews) if you are gonna show up and need help finding it or are running late, my cellphone number is...

ryand: I actually saw you go over the hood, and I clean up nice, just in case you need another witness.
Re:SoaP,have you guys had any probs getting in theaters with your bags? Down in Hampton Roads they wouldn't let me bring my med T2 in. "No bags allowed". 'But what about all these women with purses?' They didn't care.
no court involved, the insurance company asked if i knew of any witnesses, so i told them john's name and phone. but if anything happens i'll be sure to keep you up to date. thanks though.

I think purses are a little more common than a mess bag that you could fit popcorn or a moose in. I wouldn't really call that unfair. However, I don't know about bringing bags into a theatre.
there shouldnt be a problem with bringing in a bag, just dont complain if they ask you to search it. if they say no bags, offer to let them search it. you arent going to leave your bag outside, right? maybe they would hold it behind a counter.
unless you meant to sneak food in. in that case, dont mind the idiot talking in the cubicle with his headphones on.

Only because frozen oreo's and ice cold milk aren't sold at concessions. Neither are grapes.
I'm not going to the movie. Money is short for a few more weeks.

is there a power hour going down today? anyone want to meet up at DuPont?
One must call for an Hour of Power to have one. Planing is key.
Mike, I'm ordering tickets in a little bit. I'll spot you, its not a lot, don't worry about it. You wanna come? Get at me fast son!
So I just got off the phone with the insurance agent, they are gonna replace me with an upgraded saddle(what thats effin awesome) and pay for the shop bills(obviously). I'm gonna go to CityBikes after work today and pick up a Fizik and my bike. Then I'm gonna smile and hope to not be hit by a car again.
