Mountain Biking - 05, 06 Specialized Hardrock Series questions.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello guys I am very close to purchasing a new bike that will hold me for the next 2 to 3 years. I have narrowed my choices down to the Specialized Hardrock series, it will also most likely be a 2006 but 2005 is not out of the picture. I was looking very closely at the 2006 Hardrock Pro Disc, those sram components look very good to me. What do you think of those models and if it were your money what would you buy? I hope for lots of replies to this from everyone, specifically from users such as Raiyn and the like. I have been lurking on this board for some time now and I really appreciate his opinion as he calls strictly balls and strikes, no bullcrap. I know these are others with just as much and more knowledge as him so post away! Thanks

Sounds like Raiyn has a new boyfriend!!!!! :D
Hardrocks are cool. The frames are very good. The componentry is good, and easily upgradeable if you feel the need to change something.
You will want new pedals, and perhaps a new saddle right out of the box however.
Stop hating, you’re just pouting because you didn't get mentioned. Thanks for your reply.

well i only have an 05 sport disc, but personally i would jump for the 05. the 06 isn't too much of a difference (besides the switch to sram) and i think that you would be able to get a killer price on the 05 over the 06. but thats just my opinion, not as important as raiyn's and the like....
I'll crackup if Raiyn stops by to post his "Search" pic.
badsac thank you for spamming this thread. I am willing to help anyone out who has a question, what is the deal with people who post thing's like this? Anyway, to the point don't be a dick either help out by posting something useful or keep on passing by.
Don't be so uptight. You take yourself far to seriously if you can't take a bit of ribbing on an online forum.
Anyone who wants to know about circa 1990 Trek 920 rigids, I'm happy to help.
