I am looking to purchase one of these beasts, retailing at about £750. Does anyone have any useful comments about this mbk ? Or suggest a better alternative. Looking for a moderatly high spec, light bike with good components. Mainly used for easy to moderate x-country + road riding, hence a hardtail. Would rather SID shock but don't have the £££'s !!

Rusty,
In my opinion it is alot of bike for easy to moderte xc riding and alot of bike for pavement. However for a dirt application the components are good enough. It essentially is a entry level comp. group. The fork has a good enough reputation. If aluminum is your frame material of choice then this is a good one.

Thanks Hunter,

After I posted my question I looked through some previous threads and found a few answers as well. (Should have looked in the first place really !!). Have been out of touch with the mbk'ing world recently, need to get up to speed. I took one of the new Marin full sus's (TARA) out at the weekend, they are good fun but too much money and not particulary suited to my needs. I'll try and blag some extras at the cycle shop after I test ride. Thanks for your help....I'll let all you folks know what I think if/when I buy !!....Cheerio
