Anyone from Austin ever make the trip to Alkek Velodrome in Houston? Would like to start going there on a regular basis, but I dont have a car. Could chip gas though. Looks like a fantastic facility.

try to talk to the UT cycling club. ive heard some of them go once a month. i am from houston and will probably be seen there on some days in november...

I just moved to houston and am anxious to get onto the track, but apparently they still don't have any power due to the hurricane.

Normally open riding is on tues and thurs nights from 5pm to 9pm. Call the facility to see when they will be opening back up, they told me that they would update the answering machine with any new info.

And if you find a way to get down here send me a pm and I'll try and meet up.

Oh, round-trip greyhound tickets from houston to austin are $27 mon-thurs.
