I heard that they use child labor, and when a child dies while working, they feed that child to the others during lunch.

RA cycles in Brooklyn has the Easton EC90 track bars, only problem is that they're 400 clams.

curiosity, I know that there's a weight limit on carbon frames, something like 185 lbs, right? is there a weight limit for bars, stems, seatposts, seat rails, cranks, and other such nonsense? I don't really like the look, or care about weight advantages, I'm just curious...

I heard they don't feed the children to the children, they just use the dead ones to help keep the furnace going...

And lunch would imply breaks in the workday. Like they'd let that happen

I think the question we're all thinking is, is there a NJS stamp on it? Cuz if it doesn't, it's moot.

I got the deda pista bars about a month ago, and I swear by them. I don't know if they're just stiffer bars than what I had on previously, or if it's the 31.8 interface, but I love 'em.

Dustin,

I have a set of those sitting in my closet in mint condition (from my Pista Concept). No scratches. They were never ridden. Replaced with bullhorns when new.

You can buy it from me if you want. PM me.

Those actually aren't that bad. I used to have those but they got stolen. I like them and for the price they were awsome. A little flexy but I liked it, absorbs more vibration.

Dustin, I just noticed that we are both in Maryland. I live in Baltimore. If you want the Deda Pistas, let me know. Maybe we can meet somewhere.

I used to have a pair and I absolutely hated them. Not only were they flexy, but there is no secure hand position for hammering down on a sprint. The drops on the Dedas (and the Nittos) anchor your hands when you're on the extensions.

that has nothing to do with ugliness.

now Moscow bars, those are ugly.

Yeah, the Nashbar stuff might be crap, but it looks good. That Deda... puleeeeze, what the hell is that huge long curve at the end? and the sick angle at which it turns down? Freak of a bar. Btw, if you mount TT brake levers, you'll not even reach them. The tube is vertical there, so they, point forward. WTF???

Edit: I know I shouldn't ask this, but what do moscow bars look like?

Hey sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but does anyone know of any non-aluminum black track drops? I mean, would the alu deda bars be a little flexy or no? I like to sprint.

PUT THA HAMMER DOWN!

Trackstar was selling some black powdercoated B123s a while ago. That's what I currently ride in non-powdercoated form on the track. The black Deda Elementi's are stiff enough if you use a quality stem.

Nashbar sells a cheap black track drop. ITM makes them. They're alloy, but still pretty stiff. About the same shape and drop as a B123. Only strange part is that they have grooves for brakes. So yeah.

Anyway, if you feel like finding out more about them you can do a search for "ITM" "Pista" "Track" or "Handlebar." I tried to title it as easy as possible for people to search for on this forum so their could be a sort of review on them. I guess I failed.

i'm no monster, but i haven't felt my dedas flex yet (running mediocre $20ish threadless stems). i love those bars.

More importantly, why is one handlebar a "pair" or a "set"? It's never made sense to me.

And cheap steel bars from an old Schwinn + electrical tape = black bars.

Or you could just use bar tape cause you actually ride your bike instead of just take pictures for fgg.

If you go the deda route, make sure you get a good stem. I ran deda's with a cheap Felt stem. I wish I would have ran them with a thomson or other quality stem, because that was the major source of flex. The Elementi's are flexier than B123s of course, but better for the street and a ton lighter. That said I run b123s with a thomson mtb stem because I do a lot of my riding on the track.

Sorry for digging this up. I am intersted in the Deda Pista drop bars but noticed they are 31.7 mm. Besides Deda, does anyone else make a stem that will fit?

Thanks.
