Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I got up and took off towards Masset. I ran into Emily on my way and she told me her plans to stay one more night. She’s on her way back to Victoria to finish up music school. She told me where to use the internet in town. I met up with her again at the career development center, where she had just finished working. She mentioned I had to meet this guy named David Phillips in town who supposedly is a wonderful cook and very interesting personality. I also got some other contact information from her like Ian’s email address and Peter’s number in Port Clements, before heading out for a hot breakfast. I sat with Sheila who was finishing up her breakfast and we talked for a bit. Next, I went to the recreation center and enjoyed the sauna and shower. I washed up a few clothes in the shower and they almost dried in the sauna. After some relaxation and stretching, I left the recreation center and rode over to Old Masset to check out the Haida (First Nation) Community. I checked out the houses, bought some post cards at an arts and crafts gallery, and took a photo of a house with two deer hanging in front of it. I stopped at the liquor store and got some bottled beer before riding back to THC. I cooked up some pasta dinner in front of Jen’s place and then had a few beers and a smoke with Yabbo. I hung out with him and his two boys, Hylus and Chown for the rest of the night. We put on some music and the kids turned it up, danced around, and banged on Yabbo’s drum. It was a good time. (23 miles)

Peace

Dave
