Hello again!
I'm annoying all my LBS in town by showing up and asking millions of questions I'm sure, and I was almost sure I was going to order a custom Klein until I found out through the forum here that they will be going to a compact road frame for 2003, now I'm rethinking that. My other options I've found are:

C'dale R700
Marinoni frame with Veloche gruppo
Giant TCR Aero and TCR2 (not sure about the compact frame though)
Colnago Oval Master with Daytona gruppo (maybe I'm crazy considering this but its being sold off at a big discount!)

I'd like to hear what people think, as personal or 2nd hand experience with these products are much more informative than any sales pitch!
I am really greatfull for people who take the time to respond! Thanks again!

First of all, you're not annoying the bike shop employees. We can get as excited as you get when we are trying to help customers and they appreciate it! It's always refreshing to see new passionate customers.

Now, regarding your list of bikes, all are good bikes in their each respects. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

As far as compact frames go, I'm not a big fan of them. To me, they just don't make sense! I guess I'm more of a traditional frame type person when it comes to my road bike! Plus, I personally like the ride of steel over aluminum.

The biggest thing to remember, regardless of price or what kind of deal you can get. If it doesn't fit you well, it's not worth it! Trust me on this, sure you can save a ton of money on a really nice bike, but if it's not comfortable, you'll be hating every mile after let's say about 25 or 30 will be a torture fest!

With that said, if I had my choice, I go with the Oval Master! (if it fit me!)

If you are big and heavy enough to appreciate the ovalmaster go for it.

Good point about the fit of the bike, I've been measured and told a 56cm frame would be best suited. I've read that Colnago frames fit different, and a slightly smaller one is best. Is this true?

Different makes are measured differently. All 56s are not the same, and there are also differences in seattube angle and TT lengths. The ovalmaster has an extended seattube and that may be were it is measured to.Colnago TTs also run short. If anything, you may need a slightly larger Colnago compared ro some others .DON'T guess, ride em or don't buy em.
