Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

get right to the queston here, would LX hubs hold up under freeride style riding, or should i save more money and buy some beefier wheels

Depends on how big you are and how big you go. LX hubs are decent hubs plus they're cheap to replace

It might be worth your while to look at better wheels. I love my XT / Rhyno's to death but I'm not hitting anything close to 6" even though I am bigger than you
