Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

hi, the other day me and my friends make some dinner at house, it was the night before i ride, so one of them is a weight lifter and uses some powders like the "mega Mass" i think its a protein milkshake and stuff like those supplements etc. so the point is that the next day i went trainning and felt good, a little better than the other days so what im asking is if i can use those things the night before a race im having on a week... its an endurance race of 100 kms, and i think im ready for it but if i can make it better it would be ok. I'm asking this because i have read some advices that say its dangerous to use stuff like red bull and so if you're not used to them. tnks

You can eat just about anything the night before a race, as long as your system can tolerate it. I wouldn't experiment with anything radically different than what you're used to -- an unscheduled bathroom break during a race is not very convenient.
I prefer something simple and easily digested, like chicken with pasta or rice.
