A well fitting frame with a sound geometry and one which is built to a high standard will ride well whatever the material.
Steel is good and Columbus are one of the best manufacturers of tubing. Colagno know a thing or two about building frames, so the only question is does it fit ?
Take the bike for a ride, and feel if the reach to the handle bars feels OK. You should have at least 1" of clearance when you stand over the frame.
