Foo - Are you real?

I always hear people say that they're real. Or that they only like real people.

What does that mean exactly?

What do you think it means to be real?

if you're real you act in a way that the other person feels comfortable with and accepts and gets what he/she wants....

It's a personal judgement. Means different thing to different people, like "cool" or "nice" or "trendy". Typically "real" judgements is just a way to feel superior to someone else....

In LA, believe me, it means everything.

It's the opposite of being fake.

So on the flip side, what is being fake?

...my guess is the person meant "real" as in not putting up a front...not playing the typical stupid social games that people play, and just enjoy things for what they are. At least that's how I use it.

Those who pretend to be rich, despite being in their eyeballs in debt, just to look "datable" to women, is fake. The person who bullcraps their way through life is fake....simple enough.

I'm surreal. It makes it easier to look at myself in the mirror.

I am a fake, a sham, a guise for the world ,far from real, sometime the world will not accept someone that is real.

But I am REAL annoyed at the way the REAL world works, not allowing for the REAL emotions to come out of be viewed. The world puts us in a REAL box with is not really REAL, the REAL people show who they are inside, they are the essence of REAL.

NOT being real are people who are always trying to "present an image"...like Hollywood stars, always want you to think something particular about them.

Somebody real just acts and dresses and does everything in the way that makes them comfortable WITH THEMSELVES and don't give a flying flip what others think.

Real refers to someone that is that real. He doesn't pretend he's stronger than he is. He's honest and transparent with his weaknesses. Don't look to certain NFL receivers in Pennsylvania for an example of someone who is real.
