I purchased on of these and have been running it for a month. I was tired of batteries and broken clips on blinkies. In addition I switch bikes and what a hassle.
It works as described and the replacement batteries cost $2 at Fry's. The best part is the clip with elastic that you can put anyplace- helmet, seat post, I mounted it on my Brooks saddle. I like the non blink mode because it's unusual and that does count at night. Excellent overall.

I think you should get one for each wrist and put them on blink. Would make great turn signals.

CR2032 batteries are well < $1 each online in 20 quantity. I usually buy a 20 pack when I'm buying batteries anyway, that lasts me 2 or 3 years. Lithium batteries have a very long shelf life so that's not a worry.

It says the LED lasts for 100,000 hours or 4,166 days or 11 YEARS!!

Come on folks. Do you believe that?

Yes, I believe that the LED will last that long, but that isn't suggesting that the battery lasts that long.

Uh, yeah. LEDs do not in fact burn out, they just emit less light as they age. Typically the "lifetime" rating is the estimated time until they are emitting some percentage less than when they were new.

You have LEDs on your electronics, such as power lights on radios, etc. When's the last time one burned out? I've never seen it.
