Anybody out there with the straight dope on 1999 Judy SL's and Judy Race forks? I found some just as cheap as can be, and I am tempted to postpone the Marzocchi purchase. I figure those babies used to sell for $500, so they can't be all bad. Thoughts?

It has had 'some' bad reviews, but not too bad overall;

I am looking at a set of Judy's with the Carbon Fiber head on it, getting them for about $500 but cant remember their name exactly, and find a review.

I would not personally reccomend it for Rock Shox no longer makes parts available for any fork made before 2000. I can still get a few from a distributor that has them laying around but that is it.

Ah. Thanks Hunter. By the looks of the reviews, fragility is a concern with RS products...but the fork sure is tempting when it is 70% discounted.

Yep there is a reason for that bro! Marzocchi amd Fox is the way to go with Manitou following up IMHO.
