I was wondering about the reliability and strengths/weaknesses of the hayes sole disc brakes.
The bike that i am looking at purchasing (Kona scrap 06) has them as standard, and i want to know if they are any good at all. For those that don't know the particular brake, they are hayes bottom of the range hydro disc brakes. My problem is that they are single piston hydros. Will they work properly, will they be strong, will they be problem free.
Most of all, will they wreck the discs. They are running on 6 inch rotors.
