After long hard rides I usually have the energy to keep awake. I'm tired mind you but I'm just not the type who will then lay on the bed and sleep like the dead (as my mind is jsut way to actve I guess). I also wake up at around 6:30 am the next day like somebody poured cold water over me, regardless of how tired I was from the day before.
These last few days I've taken the habit of having green tea before I go to bed, and I am just knocked out. Really deep sleep with those dreams you only get when you're really tired. This am I was surpised to wake up at around 8 am. For the rest of the day I feel a bit more sluggish or am I just more rested?
On the one hand good night's sleep should be a good thing but I was wondering if there's a chance that in this case at least, it's counter-productive.
