Hi everyone
I have Veloce 10 and was wondering if it is normal for the sound of the chain to be louder in the large 53 chainring than the 39 chainring. The bike shift fine through all the gears. Having the bike on the stand the noise is coming from rd rollers.

When you're in the 53t is it noisy in all the rear gears, or just in the larger ones? If it's just the larger one, you're hearing the result of cross-chaining--a bad thing.

You shouldn't use your 53 with your two biggest gears. Even more importantly: you shouldn't use your 39 with your two smallest gears.

If you weren't cross-chaining, review the ParkTools.com site for front derailleur adjustment to be sure your FD is set up correctly. You could be hitting the cage.

You say "rd rollers." If you mean the pulleys, it's possible that your RD cable tension is off (again: ParkTools.com can help you out), but, if that were the case, you'd likely have shifting issues with either ring.

If none of these sounds right to you, can you offer any more information? Does it shift ok under load? Is it only in particular gear combinations, or is it all gears with your 53? Have you adjusted the front and rear derailleurs? Are your cables clean and lubed? Are your jockey pulleys clean (you can drip a little lightweight oil in them, or rebuild/replace them inexpensively)?

Need ... more ... info (at least I do ;) )

Sorry should of put down a little more. No it's not cross chaining. Shifting is flawless in all gears under all loads. As I mentioned this may be normal and I'm just to picky. I have been accused of this many many times. It's just a louder in the 53 not LOUD just louder. I'll try cleaning the jockey wheels ( campy calls them rollers as does one of my mechanics).
