Introductions - Hello from San Diego

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I recently found this site to be a great source of information and have decided to come aboard. I'm in San Diego, and I made my impulse purchase of the decade when I bought a Specialized Roubaix in July. And for whatever reason, I'm hooked on cycling. I've set two goals for 2006 so far. First, I hope to cycle 5,000 miles. Second, I hope to make it up Mt Baldy Rd in eastern LA county, just behind my parents' house. (See http://www.socalvelo.com/sub/mount_baldy_road.htm for a route profile.) I biked 383 miles last month, so I think I'll be okay for 5,000 miles in 2006. As for Mt Baldy Rd, last time I rode up, I turned around about 1.5 miles past the tunnels. But hey, I've got over a year to work toward this goal. Lastly, though I've just joined, I want to thank the existing members for their past posts. Searching through these forums has given me a lot of useful advice and information in the last week.

Welcome Jason and congratulations on the Cervelo R3! I'm sure you'll find a lot of good people here, especially in Foo where I'm sure you'll spend most of your waking intarweb hours. ;)
