Hey - my wife and I have been featured in a just released book, "Fitter after 50" - "Forever Changing our Beliefs About Aging." - Pages 45 and 46 - with an emphasis on how we use exercise (biking, walking, weight lifting) as a reliever of stress during some pretty rough times.

The author is Ed Mayhew, and is printed bu 1st Books.

Anyway, just thought I would mention it!!

Congrats. That is great recognition for your achievments as a fit person over 50 (I assume this is the case by the book title :))

Congrats, DF!

One of my friends, a 76-year-old sprinter, got a two-page writeup in Kelly Ferrin's book, "What's Age Got to Do With It?" (He's in good company with Jack LaLane and Sister Madonna Buder.)

OKAY Denver! Most people are allowed 15 minutes of fame. You are assured an almost immortality --if Pete's wish comes true. Congrats to you and your wife for being such fine role models.

NEVER NEVER NEVER underestimate based on age!! The older bunch is to be feared and revered!! I know 50++ year-olds that can stomp this pup's tail any day.

A friend of mine was a triathelete and once told me this story. He was doing the running leg of an event , holding his own in the pack and feeling pretty good about it when out of the blue this old lady just came cruising up alongside. As she passed him she reached out and patted him on the butt and said "Hang in there, honey, you can make it." He swears she had to be pushing 70.

So my hat goes off to you and all the other stereotype-shatterers...keep it up!
