I bought a 2005 Pinarello Paris with the oversized 'Most' bottom bracket. It has a Campy Record package on it and Eurus wheels. The bike has been in and out of the shop every month. I keep getting this creaking/cracking sound from the bottom bracket that over time will become so loud it sounds like I am riding an old washing machine. Each time I have taken it back to the shop and each time they have replaced the bottom bracket. The sound will go away for a few weeks but then return. I am now on my third bottom bracket. The dealer believes the issue is that the frame is out of spec. He wants to replace it with a frame that doesn't have the oversized Most bottom bracket. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do here?

Shows that you can drop $5K on a bicycle and it does not guarantee flawless performance. Great bike otherwise.

Sounds like tough luck, but at least you're under warranty. I never understood the need for MOST. I'd get rid of it too if given a choice - anything that's so proprietary it makes me nervous.

when you buy pinarello, you will not escape proprietary. They pioneer a good chunk of the bicycle business, so until the rest of the companies adopt pinarello tech, it is proprietary.

I agree.

However you do pay a price for pioneering, often a premium, as the original poster is finding out. I've always stayed away from this type of bicycle innovation since it has never offered a specific solution to a problem I had. I leave it to the pros to try and test since they get the equipment very often for free. I can wait for the innovation to trickle down to a more tested and affordable option. I'd care to find out why Fassa is dropping Pinarello, did they not appreciate the free Dogmas(with MOST) they used this year?
