Turner 6pack has morphed into a RF6 and removed the fsr linkage. Wonder if this means they will finally be affordable, will that change translate into savings for us?

Anyways this is all nsmb.com taking care of the pics and stuff. By far the funniest quote was when he took the rode bike for a ride to get dinner. This just made me bust a gut, because I have been wondering this for years.



So I borrowed a road bike from Rocky Mountain, slapped some flat pedals on it, and rode down to Taco Bell. The food was terrible but the bike was quite a bit of fun. But why do road bikes have such crappy brakes?


Anyways enjoy. I know some people were waitning on pics. I didnt really pay attention this year as I wasn't expecting anything to get me excited.

The price quoted to cam (and in the article) is like 7000$ cdn for the bike. :) I am hoping that was a joke.

The move away fomr the old linkage to the new "TNT" has caused a big uproar over at the Turner forum at mtbr.com. Many are convinced that this was done just to avoid paying licensing fees Ellsworth and not really from a product improvement perspective. Frew people have riddenthe bikes but the few who have riddent the 6pack said it was the best of the bunch within its class.

Have to wait and see if the new linkage delivers what a Turner is known to deliver and if prices will go down. My pipe dream is to buy a Blure frame and build it up in a couple years time.

I just rode my friend's this evening, tires are actually 26x4.0... very cool bike, rolls over sand, pavement, small children, all without you noticing. His is a fixie, and getting it to roll was suprisingly easy, but stopping with all that rotating weight sucked!

I do like the look of that seely. The article said this was a 29 I thought. I just don't know where I would ride a fully rigid out here, my trail skills aren't up to that level and neither is my patience. haha

Its amazing though how plush it is. Recommended tire pressure is 12psi. The one I rode was at 20psi, and going over sand and rocks like a FS, only with way more traction and stability. With a 4.0" tire, you don't feel ANYTHING. No matter how bad the hillside is, you don't loose traction, and it just soaks up the trail.

the cove is using something similar to giant's maestro linkage.

I think Nokian or someone has a 3.7" DH tire, basically the same size. I know Surly has a DH version of the rim designed for that bike. These are wide to the point that I felt for DH they will be a hinderance. They are too wide to turn fast in the corners and feel a bit mushy and slow down handling a LOT. On fast downhills I really prefer something that feels solid and connected even if it beats me up a bit, though I've only run some really beginner DH courses.

Nah it wasn't Nokian then... QBP or J&B definately had some 3.7" DH tires listed. I'll try to remember to check next time I'm at work.
